Hello!  I have some exciting news to share!!!  If you haven't heard already Crafters Companion will be back on HSN on October 3rd!!! YAY!!!!  And there are loads of fabulous new goodies that you will finally be able to get your hands on!  Today I'm popping in to share a really unique concept for card making called Collage-A-Card.  I am specifically sharing a project from the For Her set today.  When I first saw the kit, I wasn't exactly sure what to make of it, but the minute I started working on this beauty I was hooked!

These cards come together really quickly and you can dress them up, mix and match, really just do whatever you want to make them unique and personalized!  So many times cards get set off to the side or laid down somewhere, but not anymore!  These cards are meant to be on display and are sure to make a statement when given.

You will find more inspiration, fun and giveaways by joining our Facebook group.  You will also find updates on the Crafters Companion website.  Keep your eyes peeled for more peeks to come!

Encouragement with CAS-ual Fridays

Hi!  I find that sometimes Mondays can be a little hard for people to embrace so I thought I'd create a positive project to spread a little encouragement everyones way.  CAS-ual Fridays Stamps has lots of great encouragement sets, so I got straight down to business...

For this specific card I used the Casual Comfort and the BE Stamp Sets.  Since I knew that I wanted to watercolor my background I stamped all of my images first with Versafine Ink.  I then used a mix of Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens to watercolor with.  I LOVE that I get bright bold colors with lots of shine from these pens.  After the panel was dry I added two strips of black cardstock behind it and adhered all of it to the front of the cardbase.  I loved the simplicity of this card and opted for no other embellishments, especially since the shine was already built into the background.

You can always check out the CAS-ual Fridays Blog for more inspiration, and if you need these stamp sets for yourself (which you totally do) then I have a great discount code for you to save 15% off your total purchase!

Happy Shopping and Crafting!

Cas-ual Fridays and Chibitronics Blog Hop

Woo hoo!  I'm so excited that the CAS-ual Friday girls get to hop with the Chibitronics team for a fun and inspirational hop!  I had been introduced to Chibitronics a year or so ago, and I was so excited when I got to work with their amazing products once again!  I LOVE how easy their starter kit is to work with.  Trust me, it looks way more complicated then it actually is.  Plus they have tons of videos that show you step by step how to use their products...

For my card I used the CAS-ual Fridays Set called Floating.    I love all of the details to this balloon in the set so I stamped it onto Bristol Cardstock and watercolored it with a mix of Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers.  To create my sky I used a torn edge of a sticky note and Distress Oxide ink.  Once my front panel was done I started working on the lighting portion of the card.

First,  I made three small holes in the center of three flowers on the balloon.  This made it easy to mark my cardbase for where I needed the lights to go.  I then drew a negative line and a positive line with a pencil and a circle for where the battery would go.  I knew I wanted my card to be a push light up card, so I created a little panel for my battery to go in.  Next I added my copper tape along the lines I had drawn earlier making sure they connected to the right side of the battery.  Once I knew the battery panel and lights were working correctly I added my stamped panel with foam adhesive, and ta-da!

These type of interactive cards might just be my favorite.  I can't even stop playing with it myself! lol

And of course there will be a giveaway, so make sure you hop along to all of the stops for your chance to win a Gift Card to the CAS-ual Friday's Store and a starter kit from Chibitronics! Yay!!!

MarkerPOP Challenge #129

Hello!  Today MarkerPOP is hosting a new challenge that will have you ready for fall and Halloween...

While I was at first inspired to create a witch scene, for some reason every time I pulled out certain stamp sets I just wasn't feeling it.  So when I went back to the picture a second time I was inspired by the pumpkins, and decided to go with it...

To create this card I started by stamping these beautiful multi step pumpkins from the Sunny Studio Stamps Set called Pretty Pumpkins.  For the first two layers I used a mix of inks, and for the top layer I added some shine with Gold Embossing Powder.  I colored the background of my scene with Spectrum Noir Markers.  The sentiment is from a fun mix of sentiments in a set by Impression Obsession called Holiday Words.  I then layered my stamped panel with Lawn Fawn Patterned Paper.

I hope you'll join us and be entered for a chance to win some pretty awesome goodies!

(See what I did there? hehehe!) I have a super cute Halloween card that I've created with the Crafters Companion Trick or Treating Stamp Set.  These little kiddos are too cute!

To color them and my night sky in I used a handful of Spectrum Noir Markers. (FS2, FS3, FS4, FS5, CR2, CT1, CT2, CT4, LG1, LG2, LG1, LG2, LG3, LV2, LV3, BP1, BP2, HB2, BG3, BG5, IG6, IG8, IG10, Tn5, TN7, TB4, TB5, TB6).  For my background I used a mix of Cardstocks: Shimmering Black Pearl, Ultra Smooth White, Luxury Cardstock in Silver.  Finally I added some sequin stars to the sky for a little more interest, and some shine, to my night scene.

Cherry Green Now Available at CC

Hello!  Crafters Companion has launched a new stamp line and it is now available called Cherry Green!  I've created a clean and simple card with one of the new stamp sets to share with you for today...

For this card I used the peacock feathers from the Fancy Feathers set.  I love the whispy look of the feathers in this set, and they are quick to color in with Spectrum Noir Markers: BT4, BT5, BT9.  My background was created with a mix of Aqua Markers in Slate, Sepia, and Charcoal.  For a touch of shine I used my Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pen in Blue Topaz.  I also added a strip of Luxury Gold Cardstock down one side.  I hope you'll get a chance to check them all out on the Crafter's Companion Website!

Hello Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers

Hi!  It's Monday, and so far it's been a rather productive day for me, so yay!  I hope your week is starting off well too!  Right now I'm popping in to share a quick and easy card that I've created with Spectrum Noir's Aqua Markers and Crafters Companion's Colorista Aqua Stamp Set: Best Wishes.

To create this card I started by stamping my images with Versafine Ink.  Next, I scribbled on a craft mat with my Aqua Marker in Prussian Blue.  To pick up the color I used my Crafters Companion Waterbrush Pens.  For the butterfly I used the fine nib side of my Aqua Markers and colored the wings in (Begonia, Rose Red, Red Violet, Navy, Teal, Jasmine, Sunflower, and Bud Green).  I used my Waterbrush Pens again to pull the colors out.  Finally, I layered my stamped and colored panel onto Crafters Companion Luxury Cardstock in Navy and Pale Dogwood. (Their luxury cardstock is seriously some of my favorite cardstock to work with!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have an amazing rest of the day!

MarkerPOP Challenge #129

Hi friends!  I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far, we've had fun with soccer and cheerleading along with some nice weather.  Today I'm popping in with a little bit of crafty fun with the new MarkerPOP Challenge #129...

And here is what I've created based on this color palette...

To create this card I've used the new My Favorite Things More Monsters.  I LOVE the cute little faces on them! I then used the same colors as I used on my monsters in my galactic background with Gansai Tambi Watercolors and Clean Color Real Brush Markers.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment, and created a "gold planet" for my little monsters to stand on.

I can't wait to see what you'll create for this new challenge!  Don't forget to check out the awesome prize up for grabs too!

A Muse Studio Day 3 Sneak Peek

It's Day 3, which means only one more sleep until all of these new goodies are available for you to purchase in the A Muse Studio Store! Woot Woot!  Today's set is called Eat, Drink, and Be Thankful, and it consists of two large script sentiments that definitely make a sentiment.  You can also add some sweet fall images from the set to any project you are creating.  Here's a peek at something I've created with this set...

I love how this sentiment looks cut and in the center of my shaker.  For the inside of my shaker I used Orange Sequins and French Roast Glitter.  I stamped several of the leaf images with the Pigment Ink in Papaya, Orange, and French Roast.  I also added two toned stamping by stamping the image first with a light ink and went over part of it with a darker ink.
Stop by the A Muse Studio Blog for a chance to win this new set for yourself and for more peeks!

A Muse Studio Day 2: Fierce

Woo hoo!  It's Day #2 of the A Muse Studio Release and this set is Ah-MAZING!  I Love, love, love the sentiments in this set!  So fun, sassy, and or uplifting!  I decided to make myself a little desk reminder our of a paper frame, the Fierce Set and the Summer Blooms Set...

Isn't it awesome?!  LOVE it!  I've used a fun mix of papers in Grape, Papaya, and Shell.  I also used white to stamp and color in the flowers.  I then added some clear sparkle.  My layers were die cut with Postage Stamps Dies.  There needed to be a little more sparkle so I busted out some of the Bubblegum Sequins and added them to the sides of the flowers on the frame.

Make sure you stop by the A Muse Studio Blog for more inspiration, peeks, and a giveaway!

Make A Splash With CAS-ual Fridays!

Hello, hello!  Are you still swooning over the new release by CAS-ual Fridays? Cause I still am!  I LOVED all of the silhouette images!  And since it is my turn to share something on their blog today I'm playing with the super cute Mermaids Set.  Check it out...

Isn't she so much fun?!  I just love the way the Mermaids are holding their hands so it is easy to mix and match what they are holding from the set.  To create my card I started with a stencil and some Nuvo Glimmer Pastes.  While that was drying I heat embossed this cutie and the starfish with Gold Embossing Powder.  I wanted there to be a look of what behind her so I went over her with Distress Ink in Salty Ocean.  She was then fussy cut and set to the side.  I went back to my stenciled panel and added distress ink in the same color.  Next, I stamped and heat embossed the bottom half of my sentiment, for added interested and applied the same distress ink for a third time.  Finally, I popped everything up with foam adhesive and adhered clear sequins as a finishing touch.

And if this card just has you seeing stars (or glitter in this case lol) make sure you head over to their store and pick this set up for yourself! Plus I have a coupon code you can use!!!

CASual Friday's Release Day!!!

The name of the set I get to share with you today just makes my day!  The Puffy Heart Love is as cute as it sounds... it is filled with nice large sentiments in a sweet swirling font.  Take a peek at what I've created with this set...

To create this card I started by trimming some patterned paper and adhering it to the front of the card.  I die cut a tag from the Tag Buddies Fri-Die Set and began stamping this sweet sentiment and hearts.  I used a gradient ink for added interest.  I then tied the tag off, adhered it with foam adhesive, and added a few wood veneers.

I hope you've enjoyed all of the peeks this week, and I'm so excited that you can now get these bad boys for yourself!  Head over to the CAS-ual Friday Store and use my code for 15% off your total purchase!
