Crafters Companion's New Subscription Box!!!

Hello beautiful crafty friends!  I'm so happy that the sun is shinning and we have warmer weather again here in Ohio.  I am also so happy to share the exciting news that Crafters Companion has a new subscription box out, and it will be available May 2nd on HSN!!!! eeeekkk!!!!

These boxes are going to be amazing, and they are filled to the brim!  How do I know?  Because I was lucky enough to get to play with one before they are released!  It's just one of the bazillion perks of working on their Design Team ( I just LOVE CC ).  This box is loaded, it has paper (plain and printed), pre-scored card blanks and envelopes in lots of sizes and styles, three different sized ribbons, pearls, sentiments, rub ons, bundles of flowers in three different colors, and 2 dies!!!  How crazy is that, but wait there's more.... it is only $24.99!!!  Shut the front door folks!  I couldn't make this stuff up if I tried!  You will find more photos and details by clicking here.

Here is just one of the cards I've created so far with this box...

Ta-da!!!  The pre-scored cards are a real time saver, and the fact that everything is already matching well it just doesn't get any easier than that.

Make sure you head to the Crafter's Companion Site for more information about all of the goodies coming to HSN on May 2nd, and please join our awesome FB group where there are daily prizes leading up to the big day!

Michele's 50th Birthday Bash Blog Hop!!! (Giveaway)

Woo hoo!!!!  I am so honored to be on Michele's Team as a Girl Friday, she is absolutely one of the sweetest and funniest crafty ladies around.  I wish you the very best Birthday Michele with lots of fun, some relaxation, and loads of laughter!

If you are hoping along then you should have arrived here from the amazing Penny Ward's Blog, if not you can always start at the beginning. Now let's get onto my Birthday card that I created with Michele in mind...

hehehe!  I LOVE the Shenanigans set and especially this sentiment.  For my card I've used the Heartfelt Sayings Stamp Set to stamp two of the sentiments repeatedly onto my panel.  I then went over the panel with Distress Oxide Inks and added a few splashes of water.  While the panel dried, I head embossed my other sentiment from the Shenanigans Stamp Set with white embossing powder onto black cardstock.  I then trimmed this sentiment at each word and used foam adhesive to help make this the main focus of the card.  Since this card is fun and bright I adhered it at an angel over a black and white striped patterned paper.  As a final touch I adhered some black rhinestones to the stamped panel and added a staple to opposite corners.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today as we celebrate such a wonderful woman!  There are a few blog hop details too:

  • This hop is open for commenting until April 23rd at 11:59 pm EST.
  • There are 5 $50 gift cards being given away!!!  1 will be found on the Company Blog, and the other 4 will be chosen from random comments along the hop!
Now you are on your way to my amazing, kind, and uber talented crafty friend Virginia Lu!

Happy Hopping and crafting!

Mother's Day Spotlight for AMuse Studio

Hello crafting friends!  I am so excited to share a few projects I've created as a Spotlight post for A Muse Studio.  Their products are among some of my favorites with stamps ranging from cute, whimsical, as well as detailed, and beautiful.  I also have to point out that the products I've used on my projects are available at 20% off with discount code: SPOTLIGHT!!!

And now onto some of my projects...

I LOVE the way the watercoloring on this arrangement turned out.  The stamp and die set I used were the Bouquet of Love and I used A Muse Studio Pigment Ink in Azul, and very little water.  I also continued to layer the color where I wanting the shading to be the darkest.  For the flowers I used the Hibiscus and Grass Pigment Inks.  Once my image was completely colored I set it off to the side to dry.  I then stamped and watercolored three more flower images to pop up later on the finished project.  I decided to turn this into a seat place card by die cutting the vase twice and adhering just the tops together for it to stand up.  This also provided a place to write a name on the inside.

Another project I created using this same stamp and die set were a set of gift boxes.  I love to see how one set can be used in various ways and I think this does just that.  I started by creating my boxes out of papers from the Mother's Day Collection.  Since I would be adding my stamped floral tag on top of the smaller box I decided to dress the larger box up with a doily.  To keep everything tied together I used Bakers Cording in Mermaid.

I hope this has given you a few ideas on how else you can use your A Muse Studio Stamps to create off the card projects!  And I hope you'll get a chance to stop by later this week as I'll be sharing more how to's on my Mother's Day Spotlight projects.

Happy Crafting!

Rainbow of a Challenge

Hello!  Did you see the newest challenge at Crafty Doodle Chick last week?  It makes me so so happy...

Yay!  This is such a fun challenge, and I hope you will join along as you have until April 21st to join us for a chance to win a $10 gc to the Crafty Doodle Chick store, woot woot!!!

To create my fun rainbow card I used a mix of the Sunny Studio Birthday Balloon Die and the MFT Die-namics Hooray.   I popped them up on a black background to really help the colors pop, and I added a little coloring along the bottom part of my sentiment die.  The Balloon strings were drawn with a white gel pen and the sequins were the finishing touch.

I can't wait to see what you will create for this new challenge!

CASual Friday's Stamps: Soft and Fierce...

Hi!  Today I am over on the CAS-ual Fridays Blog.  I'm going girly, but I'm still packing a punch...

I love the sentiments in the Word Ribbon Stamp Set. They are so uplifting. My favorite sentiment is the one I've used on this card. It's such a powerful quote that I think it can be used for many occasions. This particular card is one I'm going to put in one of my daughters lunches as a reminder that she might be small but that she is amazing and can do so much.

Once I had the sentiment for the card I knew I wanted to use the flower ballerina from the TuTu Set to add a soft touch. I then propped these both onto various layers of patterned papers and a doily. I hope you've enjoyed seeing a girly card that still packs a punch, and that I've inspired you to try doing the same. Add a little flowers with a sentiment that's strong, they balance eachother out.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Typografia Blog Hop with STAMPlorations

Hello!  And welcome to my stop on the Typografia Blog Hop with STAMPlorations!!! WOOT WOOT!  I have a few cards to share that use the new sentiment sets, and these sets are awesome!  They are a great size, and I love the sayings on each one...

This first card is sparkly and bright and I LOVE it!  I've mixed the new Typografia Motivate Crossing the Ocean Stamp Set with the older Dee's Artsy Impressions: New Beginning.  For the background I stamped the sun several times and trimmed off the edges before coloring them in with a mix of Spectrum Noir Sparkle Pens.  I then stamped and colored in the sentiment before fussy cutting it and adhering it with foam adhesive.  I added a few "faux stitching" strips to the top and bottom corners, and finished it off with a rounded edge.  Take a peek at all the sparkle too!

For my next card I've mixed the Typografia Motivate: Just Be Better Stamp Set with the In Bloom Floral Bliss Trio Set.  I'm a sucker for florals and I just couldn't stop coloring these ones in...

To create this card I started by stamping the flowers twice in corners of a piece of kraft cardstock with kraft ink.  I then colored the images with Spectrum Noir Blendable Colour Pencils.  I also added a few highlights with a white gel pen.  For the sentiment I stamped and embossed it with white embossing powder before I used my Crazy Double Running Stitch Rectangle Nesting Dies.  When I first tried layering the sentiment over the flowers I felt like too much of the flowers were being covered up, so I opted to make a larger card.  I then trimmed the flowers out, popped them up with foam adhesive in the corners of a 6 x 6" cardbase and was able to add the sentiment on top.  I also added a few floral sequins to the sentiment as a finishing touch.

Thanks so much for stopping by today and checking out my projects!  Make sure you pop over to the STAMPlorations Blog for more details and for the next person on the hop.  I do know that everything is 10% off in the store right now, no code necessary, but if you would like to save an additional 20% off (That's a whopping 30% off your total!!!) use my Stamp Code:

Best of luck and Happy Hopping/Shopping!
